The artist and a recent commission entitled: "Lavender Fields Forever"

I love being outdoors.

The trees, leaves, rocks, and blue skies feed my soul and help me stay calm. Walking parks near our home, or just around the neighborhood is so restorative.

Being able to paint what I see just adds to the pleasure and power of nature’s influence.

  "Flying"

original: sold

image size: 14x10”

Prints available

To me, this image represents a 'reach for the stars' attitude. I love it, especially when grandparents purchase this image for their granddaughters. It says "you go, girl!" This image was created for an event entitled "Flying at 50 and Beyond: Celebrating Your Creativity" hosted by the Foundation for Women.

  "Ocean Beach Sunset"

price: SOLD

image size: 10x13”

framed to: 17x18”

On a walk along the beach in Ocean Beach [a community in San Diego] I picked up the tiny black, heart shaped shell that was the inspiration for the title of this mixed media painting. I worked with shades of pink, reminiscent of a sunset, and used shells, stones and leaves that could be found on a walk on the sand.

  "Sticks & Stones"

SOLD

framed to: 22x23”

Second in my found object nature series, this palette of blues and lavenders, with leaves, bark and stones is reminiscent of a river walk

price: sold

image size: 10x14”

framed to: 19x25”

While visiting Seattle for a week in the Fall, I walked the 3-mile path around Greenlake every morning. Each day, I brought back something from my walk to incorporate into this “travel journal-painting.” The watercolor sketch quality still exudes the spontaneity my early morning walks.

"Palm Tree Safari"

Signed, limited edition giclee print are available three sizes, with prices from $100-$250.

The giraffes are from right here in San Diego, and reside at Wild Animal Park. I wanted them to feel a little like they were home in Africa, so I combined a color pattern inspired by African weavers, with a classic San Diego Palm tree. Created for the permanent collection of Scripps Hospital in La Jolla, California

"Dreamland"

Signed, limited edition giclee print are available three sizes, with prices from $100-$250.

I worked on this commissioned painting during the September 11th disaster. So shocked and saddened by the events I watched on TV, I yearned to go back to the seemingly idyllic 50s of my early childhood. This painting depicts a ‘dreamland’ of childhood naiveté, with oversized flowers, butterflies and a white picket fence. Created for the permanent collection of Scripps Hospital in La Jolla, California

"How Much is that Kitty in the Window?"

Signed, limited edition giclee print are available three sizes, with prices from $100-$250.

That’s my precious Cool Baby in a make-believe window, looking through shimmering fall leaves, trying to spot a friendly bird. Created for the permanent collection of Scripps Hospital in La Jolla, California.

"Pomerado Sunflower Quilt"
