Jane creates
Mundo Lindo!
A year long program,
funded by The
Kenneth A. Picerne Foundation, of free weekly 2-hour creative
classes for fourth and fifth grade children in the underserved
population of Escondido [San Diego North]. The classes are taught by
Jane LaFazio, a professional artist, and take place at the
Escondido Children’s Museum. Jane guides the kids in discovering the
joy and power of creativity through hands-on projects. Each session, the
children will be learning art skills and problem solving while learning
about the world we live in through natural sciences and international
culture.
Jane is pictured with

Icons, Tributes & Milagros
Artwork celebrating Mexican design, culture, and color, by California-born

10 NORTH:
10 women, 10 words, 10 years
Each member of the group, has selected
one word that represents a subject or feeling inspired by being in 10
North. Whether it’s an object that the artist feels represents their own
work, like ‘beach’ or a word that describes the closeness of the group
like ‘sisterhood,’ each word was thoughtfully selected.
The 10 words are:
- beach
- cross
- iris
- heart
- laughter
- light
- sisterhood
- tree
- vegetable
- zebra
